“Bud” Mellon, DDS
Dr. “Bud” Mellon is a lifetime resident of the Fergus Falls area. He was born thirty miles southwest of Fergus Falls in Campbell, Minnesota. He attended Moorhead State University and the University of Minnesota. He graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota’s School of Dentistry in 1972.
A strong believer in continuing education, Dr. Mellon has taken many post-doctorate courses in cosmetic dentistry, emergency dental treatment, and preventive dentistry. He’s a member of the Lake Region Hospital Dental Staff, the West Central District Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
When he’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Mellon is active in the community. He’s a member of the First Lutheran Church and is also an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and motorcycling. He and his wife, Linda, have two grown daughters, Sarah and Erica.
Dr. Mellon believes it’s important to make high quality dentistry available to all people by keeping current on the latest techniques and materials, as well as being accessible to working people who may find it difficult taking time to see the dentist.
He says, “We pride ourselves on being available for any type of dental emergency. Our goal is to help people achieve optimal dental health for their entire lifetime and make them secure in the knowledge that we’ll always be there to serve them effectively and courteously.”
